CHARACTER INFO

Character: Tatsumi Kazehaya
Canon: Ensmeble Stars!! (canon point...)
Age: 19

Background Information: Here!

Personality:

“I am most definitely going to Hell.”

Tatsumi Kazehaya is someone best described by others as a reliable, gentle-hearted person who cares a great deal for others at his own expense. This is true, but it hardly scratches the surface. Tatsumi believes he has wrecked unforgivable damage, and made choices that can never be repented. He believes that his soul is lost, so instead he is dedicated to making sure others don’t fall down the same path. Tatsumi was once known as the Saint Revolutionary of Reimei Academy and it’s a title that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Summed up,Tatsumi is an idol who grew up a member of the Hidden Christians religious sect, who went to school in one of the most cutthroat academies known for churning out Idols in the industry, made some misguided mistakes and spent a year rotting alone in a hospital with no visitors, mired in his own guilt with no reprieve until he was scouted for a new agency. Despite his fall, as one of Alkaloid’s seniors, Tatsumi is someone with invaluable experience, both as an idol and as someone who has made many mistakes. His wisdom speaks of soul searching and self reflection he's had to do, and he is devoted utterly to Hiiro, Aira, and Mayoi as both a caring friend and doting senior. He is kind and patient, adoring and dedicated, and there is very little he would not do for them.

Unfortunately, this has its faults. Tatsumi is someone who can be both very tunnel-visioned and single minded when he begins to pursue something. He can be down right oppressive and overbearing without meaning to, for example, making major decisions without telling the others, acting on what he thinks is best without asking or considering others feelings, and, sometimes, dragging Mayoi on a shopping date so intense that Mayoi nearly passes out from being overwhelmed. He can be strangely oblivious to how his own actions can affect others, despite the fact that this entire mindset is what got someone he cared about nearly killed in a riot. While Tatsumi has claimed to have learned from his mistakes, some things don’t change with self reflection.

Which leads us to Tatsumi’s near fatal martyr complex. He will accept hatred and vitriol, anything someone may want to throw at him with a smile if it means giving someone else peace of mind. This also extends to a need to handle unsavory tasks, and committing ruthless acts if he thinks it acts in the best interests of his loved ones. With Tatsumi’s gentle disposition, it’s easy to forget he hails from a school that prides itself on stomping on those beneath you to reach the top. Tatsumi despises this part of himself, but has no problem utilizing it if he deems it for the best.

Despite all of that Tatsumi is someone who has a genuine love for being an idol, and he wants nothing more than to spend the rest of his days on a bright, shining stage with Alkaloid. He is someone who thought once that his career was over, and that he had nothing left to hope for. With his miraculous second chance, Tatsumi is determined not to squander it by any means necessary, and he lives to ensure that alkaloid will continue to stand on that stage for as long as possible.

Abilities & Inventory:

Tatsumi is a normal human being by physical standards, so he does not possess anything supernatural. Something that is worth noting is that Tatsumi has an intuition that seems incredibly good that it could seem supernatural. This intuition of his is able to pick out poisonous and non-poisonous mushrooms out in the wild just by going off their vibes. He can sometimes pick up on the presences of others if their presence is particularly unique. For example, Mayoi always has some kind of weird dark energy about him and frequently Tatsumi will kick down a door to scream Begone Satan, mistaking him for some kind of demon on accident.

Enstars doesn't like to tell us if this stuff is just for the lols or if its actually supernatural so do what you will with this information!!!

Aside from that, Tatsumi has all the skills one would expect of a professional idol. He's a great singer, danger, he can learn choreography quickly. He has skills in speaking and acting, and is overall very good at handling people. He can keep his calm in dicey situations, and will generally work for peaceful resolutions when he can. He makes a great mediator and considers "consultation" to be a hobby of his. Weirdo.

He's in both the tea club and gardening club back home also, and he has a burning interest in cars and driving. Too bad no one will get in the car with him. Not because he's a bad driver, exactly, but because he drives like he's auditioning for the Fast and The Furious. Tatsumi could drive like a normal person, but why would he when he can drift his car into a parallel park at 80 miles an hour instead?

ARMADA SELECTION

I would like to put him in Corsairs for a few reasons. Tatsumi's unit has a soldier motif, but a constant theme for them is always rebellion and finding their own way in spite of their given limitations. They spent a great deal of time in their early days just straight up being used as pawns until they took the game into their hands themselves to try and flip their situation.

Paladin would be an easy Armada to place him, which is exactly why I would like to put him in Corsair to challenge him further. He is shown to struggle with being given free rein in the past and throwing him into something outside of his comfort zone while he's away from his loved ones would be a lot of fun to do. Add that in with so many of their songs being centered around the concept of breaking free, and criticizing the systems around them, I think it would eventually suit him better than Paladins could in the long run.

Of course he wouldn't do terribly in Paladins and if it is a case of balance, I could do him in either one, but my heart is with Corsairs.
